An administrator wants to provision a new Golden Image but doesn't see the VM in the list with golden images. Which could be the cause of the issue? (Choose two.)
A.
No snapshot was made after optimizing the golden image.
B.
There is more than 1 active snapshot on the golden image.
C.
The golden image VM is not configured with a CD-ROM player.
D.
The wrong Guest OS Version was selected when creating the golden image.
Golden Images may be incompatible for the following reasons
Virtual machines on ESX hosts older than version 4.0 cannot be used for linked clones.
VM does not have snapshot
VM with unsupported Guest OS
VM already used by another desktop pool
VM is Image Composer Replica
A. No snapshot was made after optimizing the golden image.
For a golden image, it's a best practice to create a snapshot after optimizing the image. This snapshot represents the "golden state" from which clones can be created. If no snapshot is taken, it may not be recognized as a golden image.
B. There is more than 1 active snapshot on the golden image.
Having more than one active snapshot on the golden image can lead to inconsistencies. A golden image should ideally have a single snapshot representing the optimized state.
Not making a snapshot after optimizing the golden image, not configuring a CD-ROM player for the golden image, or not optimizing the golden image will not prevent the Golden Image from appearing in the list of available Golden Images.
Therefore, the correct answers are B. There is more than 1 active snapshot on the golden image and D. The wrong Guest OS Version was selected when creating the golden image.
Yea poorly worded, i think. It should be unsupported OS. First choice for sure is correct. The rest are just plain wrong.
