I think AC : Adding one cache disk and capacity disks, and create a new diskgroup.

The goal is to add a second disk group, and you'd ideally want it to be an identical setup to the first disk group. Adding more capacity drives messes with the cache to capacity ratio and availability.

Dear Friends, As question mentioned Deduplication and Compression Enable, then as per best practices of VMware, new disk group should add for Capacity increase so I am also vote for A&C

It has to be A and C, disk groups require cache and capacity drives, so the answer of just adding 1.8TB drives doesn't make sense and you can't share a cache disk across disk groups.

This was a trick question. Replacing existing disks with 4x3.8TB drives would have given user more space, but likely cost more than adding 1.8TB drives. And the question states that "service owner would like to ensure that overall availability of the vSAN cluster is increased". You only really get this from increasing the number of disk groups per host.

That may be cheaper, but the other requirement in the question is to "at least double the available space". That only leaves A and C
