B is correct A: vDS has nothing to do with vCenter HA C: There is only one Management IP for Active/Passive/Witness nodes. D: Only one license is required for Active/Passive/Witness nodes.

C is correct. All nodes, including witness, must have a static IP which should be documented. "The vCenter HA network IP addresses for the Active, Passive, and Witness nodes must be static."

The static IPs that you're talking about belong to the " vCenter HA network" (1 IP for vCenter instance) and NOT to the vCenter "Management" Network mentioned in the answer C. The vCenter Management Network comprises ONLY 1 IP for all three vCenter instances ( Active, Passive, Witness) . I suppose that C is not the correct answer

Exactly. Witness node doesn't use a Management IP Address; the only IP it requires belong to the vCenter HA Network. C is a tricky answer to draw people in.

Agreeing with C. The doc specifically states that you have to configure static IPs for the nodes in the vCenter HA: The vCenter HA network IP addresses for the Active, Passive, and Witness nodes must be static.

B seems correct for me too. I don't see why SSH settings must be documented... https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/7.0/com.vmware.vsphere.avail.doc/GUID-9B176C8A-4EEE-4A28-A3C1-24656D6402CF.html

A. The load balancing algorithm used by the Management Distributed Virtual Switches (DVS) Not a VC HA pre-req B. The SSH configuration settings for the vCenter Server's active node Must be running before configuring VC HA C. The vCenter Management Network IPv4 addresses for the witness node vCenter Server Node only has HA network IP D. The details of each of the vCenter Server licenses for active, passive and witness nodes License is one for all nodes. Single license standard version.

vCenter HA uses SSH keys for password-less authentication between the Active, Passive, and Witness nodes. The authentication is used for heartbeat exchange and file and data replication. To replace the SSH keys in the nodes of a vCenter HA cluster, you deactivate the cluster, generate new SSH keys on the Active node, transfer the keys to the passive node, and activate the cluster.

Selected Answer: B
A: Not Correct. There is no specific Load Balancing configuration for the Port Group where the vCenter HA Management nic is connected to. B: Correct. Since SSH is a requirement for vCenter HA, so it must be registered in the corresponding table within the Design Documentation. C: Not Correct. Witness node has no Management IP Address. D: Not Correct. During automatic clone, there is no request of license. They just share the Active node one.

No Management Network IP for witness node. Require Two static IP's for the vCenter Server Management network (Active and Passive) and Three static IPs on the same network for the vCenter HA network (Active, Passive, Witness)

[Justification note to Answer B] vCenter HA uses SSH keys for password-less authentication between the Active, Passive, and Witness nodes. The authentication is used for heartbeat exchange and file and data replication. To replace the SSH keys in the nodes of a vCenter HA cluster, you deactivate the cluster, generate new SSH keys on the Active node, transfer the keys to the passive node, and activate the cluster.

C for me, VMware says "Network connectivity vCenter HA network latency between Active, Passive, and Witness nodes must be less than 10 ms." Ref: https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/7.0/com.vmware.vsphere.avail.doc/GUID-8FD87389-8CC9-4298-8B08-A1526FB44524.html

Prerequisites: Deploy vCenter Server that you want to use as the initial Active node. The vCenter Server must have a static IP address. >>> SSH must be enabled on the vCenter Server. https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/7.0/com.vmware.vsphere.avail.doc/GUID-5F7DAFB2-60BD-4C50-A7E5-29A319CBB714.html
