A and B. A) Yes. "vSphere Lifecycle Manager enables you to manage ESXi hosts and clusters with images or baselines" [https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/7.0/com.vmware.vsphere-lifecycle-manager.doc/GUID-9A20C2DA-F45F-4C9B-9D17-A89BCB62E6EF.html] B) Yes. As with VUM, you can still use vLCM to update VM tools and hardware [https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/7.0/com.vmware.vsphere-lifecycle-manager.doc/GUID-0295A915-3963-47AD-AA79-C275226B866F.html] C) No. vLCM is used for hosts, not vCenter D) No. vLCM is used for hosts, not vCenter E) No. "With standalone hosts, you can only use baselines." [https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/7.0/com.vmware.vsphere-lifecycle-manager.doc/GUID-B54663AB-B1D1-4E87-8B8C-76FF2998A477.html] Answers are also easy to confirm in a lab, but I can't attach screenshots.

Starting with vSphere 8.0, you can use an image to manage the lifecycle of any standalone ESXi host that is part of your vCenter Server inventory. In vSphere 8.0 Update 1, you can use both, the vSphere Client and the vSphere Automation API, to manage the lifecycle of a standalone host. https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/8.0/vsphere-lifecycle-manager/GUID-4775E7F5-CD35-47D6-AE45-BE3E6AA5ED89.html

Nope, E mentions standalone ESXi hosts. A host not connected to the vCenter server cannot be managed by the Lifecycle Manager either.
