BD is correct PCoIP Secure Gateway connection and Blast Secure Gateway connection (thru Security Servers) = 4000 max connections. With HA you need 1+1=2 for remote and 2+1=3 for local users. https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Horizon-7/7.1/com.vmware.horizon-view.planning.doc/GUID-1AC83D7C-BDC6-4E32-A35C-652107BDB6D0.html#maximum-connections-for-view-connection-server-2

Here is an example from VMware's own documentation regarding sizing which is similar to this question:- "For example, if you had 20,000 users, with 16,000 of them inside the corporate network, you would need 5 Connection Server instances inside the corporate network. That way, if one of the instances became unavailable, the 4 remaining instances could handle the load. Similarly, for the 4,000 connections coming from outside the corporate network, you would use 2 Connection Server instances so that if one became unavailable, you would still have one instance left that could handle the load." https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Horizon/2203/horizon-architecture-planning/GUID-1AC83D7C-BDC6-4E32-A35C-652107BDB6D0.html I believe the answer is B & D

Security servers can only handle 2000 connections though. n+1 = 3 for both cases https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Horizon-7/7.13/horizon-architecture-planning/GUID-1AC83D7C-BDC6-4E32-A35C-652107BDB6D0.html#:~:text=Although%20a%20single%20security%20server,to%20use%202%20or%204.

CD, Internal is 4000 users per CS but HA adds one = 3 External is 2000 users per CS as they are tunneled through Security or UAG which are bound to Connection servers. 3500 require 2 CS + HA = 3 servers So C & D

As you know the recommended number of active session per CS is 2000 : https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2150348 So i agree with B&D

I think BD is correct. Question states solution must be highly available therefore you will need 3 connection servers for internal users as each connection server will support 4,000 users. If one failed and there is only 2, the solution is not highly available.

For remote users, it's enough 1 connection server plus 1 for availability
