Selected Answer: D
D. Revert to App-LibTemplate (2) and delete App-LibTemplate (3). The exhibit likely shows multiple versions of a template within a versioned content library in VMware vSphere. Versioning ensures that templates can be updated while retaining older versions for rollback purposes. Deleting the Latest Version (App-LibTemplate (3)): VMware’s content library requires that the current version of a template be reverted to the previous version before the latest version can be deleted. This prevents accidental deletion of the latest version without first confirming the need to roll back to an older state. Steps to Delete the Latest Version: Revert to App-LibTemplate (2), which will make it the active version. After reverting, App-LibTemplate (3) becomes a historical version and can then be safely deleted.

reverting to the previous version and then deleting the current version. Option C is incorrect because it deletes the entire template and not just the latest version. Option A is incorrect because it renames the previous version to the current version and does not delete anything. Option B is incorrect because it checks out the latest version and deletes it from the folder, but not from the library

Navigate to Menu > VMs and Templates and click the VM template. Click the Versioning tab in the vertical timeline. Click the horizontal ellipsis icon (horizontal ellipsis icon) that appears in the checked out VM template box, and select Discard Checked Out VM. The Discard Checked Out VM dialog box opens. To delete the checked out virtual machine and discard all changes, click Discard. ----The wording on the answer does not add up, but its the closest one to the correct answer. There is no mention on vmware documentation about deleting the template from the templates folder.

I am still not 100% on this one. Here's how to delete a template version from a content library. https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/7.0/com.vmware.vsphere.vm_admin.doc/GUID-BFC8634B-1D06-4F5F-A0B9-A8EE7AD7F3AA.html

Check out, is a way to make changes to a template which creates a new version. It is not to delete an un-needed version of a template.
