Actual exam question from VMware's 3V0-752
Question #: 77
Topic #: 1
[All 3V0-752 Questions]

An architect has been asked to evaluate the existing Active Directory infrastructure to implement a Horizon 7-based virtual Desktop infrastructure.
The Active Directory Admin helped the architect create the attached exhibit related to the current Active Directory.

The customer specified these requirements:
✑ Extend the same Horizon 7 infrastructure to a 20 User Organization from Stand-Alone Domain.
✑ Two users from the Stand-Alone Domain must have Administration access to Horizon View Infrastructure.
The architect has been asked to recommend Active Directory changes with a constraint of least possible trust relationship and credential duplication to meet the additional requirement.
Referring to the exhibit, which two recommendations would enable Active Directory infrastructure to meet requirements?

  • A. Configure Secondary credential for View administration users only.
  • B. Establish two-way trust relationship between Parent Domain A and Stand-Alone Domain.
  • C. Establish one-way trust relationship between Parent Domain A and Stand-Alone Domain.
  • D. Configure Secondary credential for View Desktop users only.
  • E. Configure Secondary credential for View Desktop users and View Administration Domain.

How about A,C ? Secondary credentials are required only for View Administrator sessions, not for end users' desktop or application sessions...according to https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Horizon-7/7.1/com.vmware.horizon-view.administration.doc/GUID-DDE5B2E2-E38C-4F27-9415-B2702810B1E9.html

https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Horizon-7/7.13/horizon-installation/GUID-01AF58AA-6617-41E5-B173-BBEFA2FEA7AA.html If your users and groups are in one-way trusted domains, you must provide secondary credentials for the administrator users in Horizon Administrator. Administrators must have secondary credentials to give them access to the one-way trusted domains. A one-way trusted domain can be an external domain or a domain in a transitive forest trust. Secondary credentials are required only for Horizon Administrator sessions, not for end users' desktop or application sessions. Only administrator users require secondary credentials.

My pick is CE. One way trust (minimal trust) and create secondary credentials needed for Users and Admins. Check out this blog https://blogs.vmware.com/services-education-insights/2017/06/horizon-view-and-active-directory-trusts.html
