  • C. Copy the Thinapped MSI to an App Volumes App Stack and assign the application via Active Directory.
  • D. Using thinreg.exe, add ThinApp packages registration and use the PermittedGroups option for the identified user groups.

Assuming Centralised deployment for Physical and Virtual both bcoz the of the statement line "not individual VDI desktops". Going with A and D as my option.

I'm also in camp A and D... but C would technically work, too.

For me it's A,D taking into account this part of the question: "The applications must be assigned to users and not individual VDI desktops".

I feel BD is the proper answer. Using GPO to deploy the application cancels the "central location" of the Thinapp package. This question suggests you'll use Streaming Execution mode PP 17 from this link https://www.vmware.com/content/dam/digitalmarketing/vmware/en/pdf/VMware-ThinApp-Reviewers-Guide.pdf

For me, B is not possible because you can't assign a thinapp package throuth the console to a user ("must be assigned to users"). Page 23 in the documentation (pool or desktop) https://www.vmware.com/content/dam/digitalmarketing/vmware/en/pdf/VMware-ThinApp-Reviewers-Guide.pdf I think it's AD

Ok, I was stick on streaming execution mode and re-reading the guide I don't see why you couldn't use a GPO. Also good catch that you cannot assign users in the console so 'B' goes away. AD it is
