Question #: 10
Topic #: 1
[All 2V0-51.23 Questions]

An administrator recently deployed a Horizon pod with external access using Unified Access Gateway (UAG). While trying to launch VDI from an External network, VDI launches with a black screen and then disconnects. The administrator has validated the port requirement and all other required ports are open.
Users are able to connect internally using the connection server URL. While reviewing the UAG logs, the administrator found that the Blast connection is hitting the Connection Server instead of VDI IP.
What should the administrator do to resolve the issue?

  • A. Upload the Blast Proxy Certificate in Horizon Edge Settings.
  • B. Update the Blast External URL in UAG with port number.
  • C. Enable Tunnel in UAG.
  • D. Disable the Tunnel and Gateways in Horizon Connection Server.

Blast doesn't support multi hop when connecting through UAG, make sure tunnel is enabled on UAG for blast external URL and Blast external URL is disabled on connection server settings under horizon view admin page. https://communities.vmware.com/t5/Horizon-Desktops-and-Apps/Horizon-client-BLAST-session-is-disconnecting-after-an-idle/td-p/2265618

To resolve the issue where the Blast connection is hitting the Connection Server instead of the VDI IP, the administrator should Disable the Tunnel and Gateways in Horizon Connection Server (Option D). This action will prevent the Connection Server from attempting to proxy the connection, which is likely causing the black screen and disconnection issues when launching VDI from an external network
