A vSphere cluster has the following vSphere Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) group configuration:
Virtual machine (VM) group named DB
Host groups named PROD11 and PROD55
The administrator wants to force the VMs in the DB group to run on the hosts in the PROD11 group. However, if all the hosts in PROD11 go offline for maintenance, then the VMs in the DB group should run on hosts in PROD55.
Which VM/Host rule must the administrator create to ensure that these requirements are met?

Selected Answer: A
To ensure that the VMs in the DB group run on the hosts in the PROD11 group but can run on hosts in the PROD55 group if all the hosts in PROD11 go offline, the administrator should create a rule that sets a preference rather than a strict requirement. This way, the VMs will prefer the PROD11 hosts but can fall back to the PROD55 hosts if necessary. The correct rule to create is: A. A preferential rule between the DB group and the PROD11 group

Should be A. Just keep in mind that using "should" is a safer setting as it allows the VMs to run on a different host for HA and maintenance reasons. Ref: https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/7.0/com.vmware.vsphere.resmgmt.doc/GUID-0591F865-91B5-4311-ABA6-84FBA5AAFB59.html

Wrong, if you do that, the VM cannot run on the other cluster; which is part of the requirements.
