An administrator decides to restore VMware vCenter from a file-based backup following a failed upgrade. Which interface should the administrator use to complete the restore?
D: You perform a vCenter restore from the UI installer. https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/8.0/vsphere-vcenter-installation/GUID-F02AF073-7CFD-45B2-ACC8-DE3B6ED28022.html#GUID-F02AF073-7CFD-45B2-ACC8-DE3B6ED28022
Im thinking B, as if you've already run the 2part gui installer, you have to use the 5480 to COMPLETE the restore ...the 5480 (VAMI) is after the 2nd part of the GUI installer.
Answer is D
You can use the vCenter Server appliance GUI installer to restore a vCenter Server to an ESXi host or a vCenter Server instance. The restore procedure has two stages. The first stage deploys a new vCenter Server appliance. The second stage populates the newly deployed vCenter Server appliance with the data stored in the file-based backup.

it says using the VAMI is optional.. but i had to use it to finalize the restoral.. and this question says to "Complete" not to "start" the restoral so im confused
I tink that the right answer is B because we are restoring config file for appliance which is still on production. Anwser D is when we need to restore vCenter with new vCenter appliance deployed
