AE are correct NSX Federation 3.1 supports the following components to be configured from the UI: • Segments • T0 and T1 gateways • NAT operations • DNS • DHCP • IP address pools for the NSX environment Security distributed firewall and gateway firewall can be configured in different zones with groups. NSX Federation: Limitations NSX Federation 3.1 does not support the following components: • Routing VPN and EVPN • VRF • Load balancer • DHCP dynamic binding • Layer 4+ services load balancing and VPN • Network introspection • Identity firewall • Distributed IDS • FQDN filtering • Endpoint security • No Tier-0/Tier-1 automatic disaster recovery (DR): — Network DR requires Global Manager Tier-0/Tier-1 primary location configuration change Taken from VMware Cloud Foundation: Planning, Management, Operations 4.3 Lesson book.
