A company has an RPO set at 4 hours and values data protection and disaster recovery. A disaster occurs on June 12, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Which restore point gives the company the best RPO?
The defined interval always starts at 12:00 AM. For example, if you configure to run a job with a 4-hour interval, the job will start at 12:00 AM, 4:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 4:00 PM and so on.

Given the company has an RPO set at 4 hours, the restore point that gives the best RPO is the one closest to the time of the disaster without going over the disaster's timestamp.
Given the company has an RPO set at 4 hours, the restore point that gives the best RPO is the one closest to the time of the disaster without going over the disaster's timestamp. Since the disaster occurred on June 12, 2023, at 10:00 AM, the restore point at June 12, 2023, 9:30 AM would be the most recent one within the RPO threshold. This restore point minimizes data loss and provides the most current data before the disaster
How do you know it's starting at 12:00? You can just assume.that. but also, you have 4 options to choose, in which one of them seems to have a restore point from 9:30
Option (A) is incorrect because when the "Periodically every" setting is enabled, the next backup for that job will only run at the next full hour, e.g., 8:00, 9:00, 10:00. Therefore, the correct option is (D).
If the backup took 1.5hrs to create the restore point? There are assumptions being made on how the backups are being run. If 8am and 9:30am both exist, 9:30am is the minimal amount of loss.
So first job run will at 12 AM second will be with 4 hours interval which means 4 AM and third will be at 8 AM and this will be most recent one available so according to me D is correct answer
