B is correct. There is no mention that all the servers are in the AD. AD groups cannot be used for non domain joined machines.

I think "A" and "B" are correct, but "A", is more easy and flexible to manage in the long run.

A assumes that all machines are in Active Directory which is a big assumption for Linux Machines (which can be joined but I wouldn't assume they are)
