Backup copies between repository are done with the data mover services on the repositorys. So no other components are involved. The Question gives no hints that WAN accellerators are needed C. is correct

I agree, C. Nice spot. There are no proxies on either direct or WAN accelerator paths.

That link shows that none of the proxies are used in data transfer, and the question notes that direct backup jobs finish within the backup window, so no WAN accelerators are needed. I think the answer is actually C.
