Business scenarios are an appropriate and useful technique to discover and document business requirements, and to articulate an Architecture Vision that responds to those requirements.
A business scenario is a *technique* used to help *identify and understand the business requirements* that architecture must address.
A business scenario describes:
1. A *business process, application, or set of applications*.
2. The *business and technology environment*.
3. The *people and computing components *(“actors”) who execute the scenario.
4. The *Desired Outcome* of proper execution.
