In Splunk, a transaction groups events based on one or more shared fields (e.g., session ID, user ID, etc.) or based on specific conditions such as time constraints. The events in a transaction do not need to have the same timestamp, sourcetype, or exact set of fields, but they must have a logical relationship through one or more common fields.
A voting comment increases the vote count for the chosen answer by one.
Upvoting a comment with a selected answer will also increase the vote count towards that answer by one.
So if you see a comment that you already agree with, you can upvote it instead of posting a new comment.
