B is correct. According to the Ebook page 218: The NIST Stateful process definition allows analysts to move from one step to the next in sequential order without skipping any step. On the other hand, the NIST Open process definition permits analyst to move freely from one state to the next.

oob configuration has - NIST Stateful - NIST Open - SANS Open - Example *note, Stateful means step by step (can't skip to any statues), while Open allows skipping steps so in this case B is the right answer
