Copying control is a mechanism in SAP SD that governs how data is transferred between different documents (for example, from a sales order to a billing document, or from a delivery to a billing document).
However, copying control does not serve as the integration link between SAP S/4HANA Sales and Finance.
The connection between Sales and Finance is established structurally through the assignment of a sales organization to a company code. This organizational linkage ensures that billing documents generated in Sales are posted to the correct financial entity in Finance.
Thus, while copying control plays a critical role in the document flow within Sales, it is not the mechanism used to interface with Finance.
