Universal Containers (UC) has a custom Invoice object and a custom Invoice Line Item object. The Invoice Line Item object has a lookup relationship to the Invoice. UC would like to convert the lookup relationship to a master-detail relationship but is unable to do so.

Which two reasons could be preventing this relationship conversion? (Choose two.)

  • A. There are already two master-detail relationships on the Invoice Line Item.
  • B. Invoice Line Item records exist without having the Invoice lookup field populated.

Just in case anyone is wondering: The current relationship between the 2 objects is lookup, you can only make a rollup sum field on objects with a master-detail relationship so it cant be D We all know you can make roll ups on custom objects so ofc cant be C either You cant have more than 2 master details fields per object You cant change a lookup into master detail if any of the child object records don't have data in that field like wIthorn said below So the 2 answers have to be A & B

When converting a lookup relationship to a master-detail relationship, all detail records must have a related master record. If there are records without a populated lookup field, the conversion will fail. Additionally, when a master-detail relationship is established, the detail object cannot have a roll-up summary field, so the conversion will fail if there is a roll-up summary field on the Invoice object.

D is wrong. You cannot create roll-up on look-up, only master-detail.
