Universal Containers must be able to create Quotes that contain Quote Lines with different Start Dates. Order Products must be separated into Orders after generation based on the Start Dates. How can a CPQ Specialist meet this business requirement?
A.
Set both the Order by Quote Line Group and Ordered checkboxes to True.
B.
Change Default Order Start Date in CPQ Package settings to Quote Start Date.
C.
Separate Quotes must be created for each unique Start Date.
D.
Set the Order By picklist on the Quote to SBQQ_StartDate_c, and the Ordered checkbox to True.
A - there is no mention of quote line group
B - we care about quote line start date, not quote start date
C - nop. super manual and weird.
D - okay solution but the admin have to add this value to the picklist and he doesn't have to check Ordered... the end user yes but not the admin.
D is correct
Salesforce CPQ supports quote line field values for the Order By field. When you order a quote that has a non-null Order By field value, Salesforce CPQ looks for a quote line field with an API name that matches the Order By value. It then groups the quote lines into orders based on shared values by the chosen field. If any quote lines have a null value, they’re grouped into one order.

I think its A because the question mentions that Order should be separated which means "split order" and for split orders, we need to go by Order by Quote line group.
Also note that when the order by quote line group is selected and order by picklist is present then the order by quote line group will take precedence over the Order by picklist field.

I believe the question is poorly formed because both A and D are correct, depending on how an Admin configures the Quote. It's possible for an Admin to configure a Quote with different effective start dates within different Quote Line Groups. That way, option A would be applicable and therefore, correct. However, D is also correct from an Effective date standpoint.
