I believe: The best promotion type is Display: This is inaccurate as Coupon does equally as well in San Francisco, and better if you include the Other store values The other stores (visualized with the gray bars) show no significant data for the sales promotions: This is inaccurate as we see data for the other stores Of all promotions types in San Francisco, sales were the highness using Display promotion: This is inaccurate as Display & Coupon do equally a well in San Francisco Leaving us with: Promotions increase sales stronger in San Francisco than they do in other cities. My choice is B

D is the best answer... eventhough it is not 100% clear just by looking at the graph

Selected Answer: D
A: make sense only for SF. You can see coupon grey bar bigger than display gray bar; B: Graph is comparing to mean of other cities. There can be a city with better results than SF; C: Not correct at all; D: Correct! Only talks about SF compared to itself, so the statement is true.

This is tricky. A : No, because best promotion is display only in the case of San Francisco B : I guess No ? it is not "any" promotion that increases Sales in San Francisco, just the ones shown on screen (there might be other promotions not shown). Furthermore the 2 other promotions are not explicitly stated in the text and might therefore not be statistically significant, even though they appear higher visually (or yes based on the color ?). C : No, this graph compares San Francisco to the rest average. It cannot make statement about the relation between other stores and the average D : I guess Yes ? because this is factually correct. However, I think it is tricky because the main message of this insight is that there is a correlation between San Francisco and Display and Coupon, which is really similar to the description of answer B. Whereas the answer D is just factually correct...
