It is is Master Details then the sales representative will see the line items because children inherit of the security of the parent. The right response is look-up.

Could you explain more about this answer? In MD, child object is inherited to parent object, and Line Item is child object to Order. So, I think if they can see Order object, they also can see Line Item object.

Selected Answer: C
Both C or D could be correct. But the question is not about sharing, its about access (permissions). You can easily provide accees to master record without access to child. But the opposite is impossible, because "You can’t set permissions on the detail record independently."

To restrict access to Line Items on an Order while allowing financial representatives to see the Order amount, the following type of relationship should be used: D. Lookup A lookup relationship allows one object to link to another object by referencing the ID of the related object. In this scenario, the Line Item object would have a lookup field that references the Order object. By using a lookup relationship, the financial representatives can be granted access to the Order object but not the Line Item object, since they do not have access to the related objects in a lookup relationship. This allows them to see the Order amount without seeing the details of the individual Line Items. Direct and indirect lookups are not actual relationship types in Salesforce, but rather terms used to describe the depth of relationships between objects. A master-detail relationship is not appropriate in this scenario because a master-detail relationship requires sharing settings to be set at the master level, which would give access to both the Order and Line Item objects to financial representatives.

It has to be Look-up as child inherit security settings similar to parent in M-D relationship.

You can't use master-detail if you're planning to hide the child record.
