I don not think can share report folder with profile, https://trailhead.salesforce.com/trailblazer-community/feed/0D54S00000A8ZkYSAV. So A looks correct.

We cannot share the dashboard with the Public Group , we share only folders. And sharing must be with users, role , role& subordinates and public group not profiles Dashboard source reports folder with the US Sales Director profile
