When activating a segment to Amazon S3 from Salesforce Data Cloud, the .csv file contains the activated data payload. This includes:
The actual data records that match the segment criteria (e.g., customer profiles, attributes, or other relevant fields).
The data is structured in a format that can be easily processed by the recipient system (Amazon S3).
Metadata about the segment definition (e.g., criteria, filters, or rules) is stored within Data Cloud and is not included in the .csv file sent to Amazon S3.
When activating to Amazon S3, the information provided in the .csv file is A. The activated data payload. This means the actual data that has been processed and segmented is included in the .csv file, which can then be used for further analysis, reporting, or any other required actions.
