To me it seems two possibilities are correct: c AND d, because among the objectives of the 'Managing a Stage Boundary' are: 'request authorization to start the next management stage' and: 'prepare an exception plan as directed by the project board'. BUT: the list of activities in paragraph 19.4 shows: The activities within the managing a stage boundary process are project manager oriented and are to: ● plan the next management stage ● update the project plan ● update the business case ● report management stage end ● produce an exception plan. (Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2' Edition 2017.

I think C is correct as well. D is directing project.

C is correct. "Authorization" is done at Directing a project (DP).

D is directing a project.

C is correct, The exception plan is prepared in SB and submitted to the Project Board for approval in the same way as a stage plan.

this is confusing, I thought it was option D

In Manage a Stage Limit there is no authorization action, the Project Manager creates the information for the Project Board that authorizes in Directing a Project

option C can take place where as option D is a definite activity
