27.2.3 Not releasing into operational use "Unfortunately there is a significant limitation with respect to agile’s desire for regular, frequent (even continual) delivery when some form of staging area is involved. Typical reasons for inclusion of a staging area are regulatory compliance checking, integration testing or any other form of validation and verification process. The problem is that when an error is picked up and a change needs to be made, further work may have already taken place on the current state of the product, which would have been baselined at the point of delivery into the staging area."
