Ans D. I don’t understand how B is the answer. The timeline is changed from 18 months to 6 months. But they didn’t say that the scope can be reduced. B is assuming that scope can be changed and focus only on high value items. This needs discussions with all stakeholders and explain how an 18 month project cannot be done in 6 months, unless some decisions are made. So best answer is D.

Selected Answer: B
B. Review the project backlog looking for high-priority items and come up with a minimum viable product (MVP) that fits the expected timeline. Given the new timeline of six months, it's essential to prioritize and focus on delivering the most critical features and functionalities to meet the minimum viable product (MVP) requirements. This approach allows the project to launch within the shortened timeframe while still providing value to stakeholders. Crashing, fast tracking, or increasing the budget significantly might not always be feasible or practical, so prioritizing and delivering the most valuable components of the project is a more pragmatic approach in this scenario. It's important to communicate this adjusted plan with stakeholders to manage their expectations and gain their buy-in.

Selected Answer: B
The project manager has received new information that the product launch should happen in six months, which is significantly shorter than the initially planned 18-month release plan. Given this constraint, it's crucial to prioritize and focus on delivering the essential features that constitute a minimum viable product (MVP) within the new timeline.

The question never mentioned this is an agile project. Plus there is no such a term as “project backlog” in waterfall context.

even if you all were correct, which you are not, D. is still a really really bad answer. you are essentially implying you need C. or A. but you come with no plan, which is worse and cowardly.
