Selected Answer: A
In this situation, the project manager should first review the scope and project objectives (Option A). This step is crucial because it helps to understand the root causes of the issues and ensures that the project is aligned with the client's expectations and the original plan. By reviewing the scope and objectives, the project manager can identify any discrepancies, scope creep, or misalignments that may be contributing to the schedule and cost overruns

Selected Answer: C
Many selected A but how option A addresses Cost Overrun and Schedule overrun that happened in M&C. I think answer should be between C and D. C maybe apt, as PM need to fix first overruns as there is a variation then work on D

B. Enforce the penalty clause on the supplier. Did the question talked anything about supplier or supply problems? Option B is out C. Take action to reduce the cost overrun. Why the PM should take action without understanding the root cause? Option C is out D. Work with the client on the scope completion Again, why PM should bother the client without understanding the root cause? Option D is out. A. Review the scope and project objectives. This is the correct approach, PM should first understand the objectives, scope and then try to understand the cause of deviation and post this exercise, he should work on correcting the deviation

Answer A - It indicating PM started project without knowing objectives and scope? They have deviations meaning baselines are not working as planned. It can be due to resources or risks or other issues. Cost overrun or schedule overrun will not fix by reviewing scope is my opinion.

Cost overrun and schedule overrun are issues that have happened. First action should be reviewing project's scope and objectives to analyze the cause.
