Selected Answer: D
Considering the personal goals and preferences of the high-performing team member when deciding on a reward can make the recognition even more meaningful and impactful. Tailoring the reward to align with their interests and aspirations shows that the project manager values and respects the individual's unique contributions.

As an introvert, please don't do A. (Acknowledge the high-performing team member in the next team meeting.) to me. I WOULD LITERALLY PANIC. I don't want it. I would treat it as punishment even. Here's an article from PMI. https://www.pmi.org/learning/library/motivation-increase-project-team-performance-7234 It's D

The key is to understand what motivates your team members and what they value. For example, some team members may prefer a personal thank-you note, a public shout-out, a certificate, or a gift card. Others may appreciate a flexible schedule, a learning opportunity, a promotion, or a bonus.

A or C are fine if that is what the team member appreciates, D is a better answer when you take into account project has been ongoing for two years. It is time reward based on the individual's values. At this point it would be more advantageous for the individual to be most pleased.

Selected Answer: D
Much of the work done on project is aligned with intrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation s defined as the doing of an activity for its inherent satisfaction rather than for some separable consequence. When intrinsically motivated, a person is moved to act for the fun or challenge entailed rather than because of external products, pressures, or rewards.

Selected Answer: A
The most effective way to recognize high performance is by acknowledging it publicly in front of the team. This reinforces the behavior and motivates the individual and the rest of the team to continue performing at a high level. Public recognition also fosters a culture of appreciation and recognition within the team.
