Selected Answer: B
The critical path is a sequence of stages determining the minimum time needed for an operation. If there are delays in tasks on the critical path, the entire project will be delayed. Given the situation described, where there are schedule delays due to supplier issues on tasks that are on the critical path, it's crucial to address these delays immediately. Option B suggests reviewing the critical path with stakeholders to define next steps.

B. Due to the tasks being on the critical path, the PM should review the critical path to see the impact, so that it can be discussed with stakeholders to determine the next steps or risk strategy. I believe that you would only discuss with procurement once a decision is made on the way forward.

shouldn't supplier issues be taken up with the purchasing department who can then look into the contractual agreements to course-correct the situation? So Option A is more relevant
