Selected Answer: D
D. Submit a change request and allocate the budget and resources needed for execution. The project manager should submit a change request to formally document the additional scope item and allocate the necessary budget and resources for execution. This will ensure that the scope item is properly tracked and accounted for.

Selected Answer: D
When a project is formally closed, any additional scope or work outside the original project scope is considered a change. Even if the new scope seems small and simple, it requires formal approval through a change management process. This is to ensure that the project scope remains well-controlled and that the appropriate budget and resources are allocated. In this case, the project manager should initiate a change request to evaluate the impact of the new scope item and to ensure that the project is adequately funded and resourced to handle this new task. This maintains proper project control and avoids scope creep.

Selected Answer: C
In this scenario, the project manager should evaluate the nature of the request and plan communication accordingly (Option C). Since the additional scope item appears small and related to daily operations, it may not necessarily require a formal change request or allocation of additional budget and resources. The project manager should assess whether the work can be accommodated within the existing operational framework and resources. If the request aligns with the ongoing operations and doesn't significantly impact the project's budget or resources, the project manager can inform the functional manager about the feasibility of accommodating the request without formal change processes. Clear communication about the nature of the request and its implications will help manage expectations and ensure that all parties are on the same page.

A. Since project is closed, no point in evaluating. Direct the requestor to the support team.

Selected Answer: C
Option C involves a more pragmatic approach. By evaluating the nature of the request, the project manager can determine if it can be accommodated within existing operations without the need for formal change management processes. If the request can be handled smoothly, the project manager can communicate and coordinate with the operational functional manager accordingly, without unnecessary administrative overhead. However, if the request is more significant or impacts project baselines, then a change request may be appropriate.

Please Why not B? It was closed weeks ago, so the project team must have been reassigned and we might have used up all or almost all the budget allocated for the project before it was closed. Shouldn’t we confirm that these are available?

Voting for C. First of all it has to be evaluated properly. Only if additional resources are needed, need to go for option A

Selected Answer: C
As the project has been formally closed, any work requested afterward should be carefully evaluated before moving forward. The project manager should evaluate the nature of the request, the impact on the project's completed work, the availability of resources, and communicate accordingly. The project manager should also consider whether the work request falls under the original scope of the project or requires a change request. Only after careful evaluation should the project manager proceed with any additional work.
