A. Ask the customer for their priorities regarding the requirements for the second milestone. E. Go back to the development team and discuss which second milestone requirements can be performed in the first quarter. The project manager should first ask the customer for their priorities regarding the requirements for the second milestone in order to understand the reasons behind the customer's request and how it aligns with their overall project goals. This can help the project manager to identify which requirements are most important to the customer and which ones can be delayed or modified. The project manager should also go back to the development team and discuss which second milestone requirements can be performed in the first quarter. The team may be able to identify which requirements can be accelerated or modified to meet the customer's desired outcome in the first quarter. This can help the project manager to develop a plan that meets the customer's needs while minimizing the impact on the overall project schedule and cost.

The official answer (A & C) doesn't make any sense. Why "Ask the customer for their priorities regarding the requirements for the second milestone" but then "Convince the customer to leave the second milestone in place and not change it"? What's the point in asking that if you don't want to change anything!?!

A. Ask the customer for their priorities regarding the requirements for the second milestone. This will help the project manager understand which aspects of the second milestone are most important to the customer. This information can be used to explore possible solutions that meet the customer’s needs while also being feasible for the project team. E. Go back to the development team and discuss which second milestone requirements can be performed in the first quarter. This involves working closely with the team to understand what can realistically be achieved within the desired timeframe. This collaborative approach can help identify potential solutions and ensure that any changes to the project plan are feasible and aligned with the team’s capabilities.

Selected Answer: AC
If E refers to asking what part of the milestone 2 can be done in first quarter rather than determining if milestone 2 can be fully done in the first quarter, then the answer is clearly AC. The cause of the problem is the customer's lack of understanding of how milestones are met, thus convincing them to leave milestones as they are may be a better solution for the project as a whole. If C was reworded as "meet with the customer and evaluate the impact of the options on the project" it would have been more clearer.

A. Ask the customer for their priorities regarding the requirements for the second milestone. E. Go back to the development team and discuss which second milestone requirements can be performed in the first quarter. The project manager should ask the customer for their priorities regarding the requirements for the second milestone to gain a better understanding of why the customer wants to move it to the first quarter. This will help the project manager to determine whether it is feasible to move some of the requirements for the second milestone to the first quarter. The project manager should also go back to the development team and discuss which second milestone requirements can be performed in the first quarter. By doing so, the project manager can identify which requirements can be delivered in the first quarter and which ones require more time to complete. This will allow the project manager to propose a more realistic timeline for delivering the second milestone.

A and E are the best options here. But the catch is hybrid model. Instead, a Project manager cannot say the customer to let the milestone stays in its place without proper impact analysis specially on the project baselines. Hence, will go for A & E
