Selected Answer: D
This is D. You can't provide a prototype, at least a good one without consulting with the team first or even having any work done. The selected answer seems like the PM is doing everything without even talking with the team, and that's a recipe for failure.

Selected Answer: D
The project manager should D. Work with the team to understand their views and add the appropriate dependencies and risks. This approach ensures that the team’s insights and expertise are taken into account when preparing the details and estimates. It also allows for a more accurate and comprehensive understanding of the project, including potential risks and dependencies. This can lead to more accurate estimates and a more realistic plan. However, the project manager should also consider the specific circumstances and dynamics of the project and the team when deciding on the best course of action.

C seems incomplete as the PM is doing all of this without the input of the team. The correct answer would be a combination of C and D.

D. Work with the team to understand their views and add the appropriate dependencies and risks. Here's why: In an agile environment, collaboration with the team is paramount. The team will be the one doing the work and they have the expertise to identify potential risks, dependencies, and provide more accurate estimates.

C. Analyze the tasks, provide estimates, include a prototype demo, and send to the client directly. Including a prototype demo can provide the client with a tangible representation of the software's functionality and features, allowing for more effective communication and alignment of expectations in an Agile context. In Agile projects, prototypes and demonstrations are valuable tools for ensuring that the client and the project team have a shared understanding of the software's direction and features. It facilitates collaboration and feedback, which are essential in Agile development.

Before sending the estimates to the client, the project manager should choose option D, which involves working with the team to understand their views and adding appropriate dependencies and risks. This approach ensures that all perspectives are taken into account, and the estimates are as accurate as possible. The project manager should work with the team to analyze each task, identify any dependencies, and estimate the time and resources required to complete each task. They should also identify any risks associated with each task and add appropriate risk reserves to the estimates. The project manager should then review the estimates with the team to ensure that they are realistic and achievable.

Selected Answer: C
C seems to be the best answer. The project manager should analyze the tasks, provide estimates, include a prototype demo, and send the information to the client directly. This approach aligns with the Agile methodology, which emphasizes direct communication between the customer and the development team. Option A is incorrect because the Agile approach does not typically use a traditional backlog or require the use of reserves. Instead, Agile teams prioritize work based on customer value and focus on delivering high-quality, working software. Option B is incorrect because it adds standard risk reserves to the estimates, which is not a best practice in Agile. Agile teams typically address risks through ongoing risk management and adaptive planning. Option D is also incorrect because it implies that the project manager would be working in isolation from the development team. In Agile, the development team is responsible for estimating and planning work, and the project manager acts as a facilitator rather than a command-and-control figure.

Work with the team to understand their views and add the appropriate dependencies and risks. How is option D implies manager working in isolation when the first sentence is working with the team?
