Ans B: I would go with B. Why should it be assigned in Iteration 3, when we know tha A has to start in Iteration 4. And there are 2 activities. Its too much of a risk for B to start in It 4. So Answer is B

I believe this question addresses the topic of servant leadership. The role of the project manager is not to impose task, but to work with the team to provide the best possible outcome. Option C meets that criteria.

I chose C because adding this activity to team B's current iteration could increase the time to complete the current iteration. There is still time to do the activity in iteration 3 in time for iteration 4.

Selected Answer: C
C. Ensure team B prioritizes the dependent activity in iteration three. To address the situation where the two critical activities from team A are dependent on an activity from team B, the project manager should work on ensuring that team B prioritizes the dependent activity in the upcoming iteration, which is iteration three. This alignment in priorities will help ensure that the necessary dependencies are addressed in a timely manner, allowing team A to start their critical activities as planned in iteration four. This approach helps maintain project progress and manage dependencies effectively.

B. Include the dependent activity in the current iteration for team B. as per agile , the risks to be handled as early as possible. so if dependency not handled it can turn into risk

Sprint backlog ensures that it delivers the goal , the assumption that backlog can not be changes is to ensure team remains focus… but it’s a myth

I believe changes could not be added to iteration until it is completed. Iteration as well as a sprint is fixed time-box in XP Practices

The two tasks of team A are critical but they have to be done in iteration 4...and at the moment it is running iteration 2. So if team B task is worked on in iteration 3 there will be no problem for team A. So what's the need to change the current iteration 2 risking overloading team B?

The question mentioned 'During iteration 2' which mean the sprint has started. The sprint backlog was fixed and cannot be changed unless you have finished all the current sprint backlog and has spare time, then you can do agreed with product owner to add other user stories. Therefore, the answer is C

the best course of action for the project manager in this situation is to ensure that team B prioritizes the dependent activity in iteration three. This will allow team A to begin their critical activities in iteration four as planned, without delaying the project.

Selected Answer: C
C. Ensure team B prioritizes the dependent activity in iteration three. The project manager should ensure that team B prioritizes the dependent activity in iteration three, so that the two critical activities from team A can be started in iteration four as planned. By doing so, the project manager maintains the project's schedule and ensures that all dependencies are accounted for and addressed in a timely manner.
