There's a lot wrong with this question, especially since it asks what should they do next rather than what should they have not done. Ultimately though, C is the best answer because the product owner prioritizes the backlog and not the PM.

In Scrum, the product owner is responsible for managing the product backlog, including prioritizing features and deciding what gets added to the sprint backlog.

I thought C at first, but I think A is correct. The development team can modify or delete the sprint backlog. In another iteration, given the cue near the end of the sprint, the development team will analyze the sprint story.

Selected Answer: C
The project manager should C. Receive an agreement from the product owner and add the new story to the product backlog. In Scrum, the product owner is responsible for managing the product backlog. So, any changes or additions to the backlog should be made in agreement with the product owner. This ensures that the product’s vision and goals are aligned with the work being done. The team can then focus on the next sprint planning.

Selected Answer: C
C. Receive an agreement from the product owner and add the new story to the product backlog. In agile development, it's essential to maintain the integrity of the current sprint backlog once it has been committed to for the duration of the sprint. If a new high-priority item or change emerges during a sprint that cannot be accommodated within the current sprint's capacity, the appropriate course of action is to have the product owner evaluate and prioritize it. Once the product owner agrees and prioritizes the new feature or story, it can be added to the product backlog and considered for inclusion in a future sprint planning session. This ensures that the product owner, who represents the customer's interests, is involved in the decision-making process regarding changes to the product backlog.

Looking at the answers it seems that the question should be "What should the PM do to avoid this problem" or "Should have done". In this case C is the right answers

Selected Answer: A
In Agile the PM works with the team to get it right. The high priority requirement is already a commitment, the team must accommodate.

Selected Answer: A
the answer is A since the PM already put the new requirement in the product backlog and prioritized it as a high priority item. and finally the sprint became failed due to many uncompleted item. so the PM in the next sprint planning should consult with Product Owner to put remaining item into the top priority and agree with the team to decide and modify and delete some of the story in the sprint backlog.

It should've been "what should the project manager have done'. In this case, Answer C would make more sense

A doesn't make any sense. Why to "delete some of the stories in the CURRENT sprint backlog" if you are at the end of the sprint...?? The sprint is over and there's nothing to do with it...

A is not the most appropriate because the development team does not have the authority to modify or delete user stories from the sprint backlog without the approval of the product owner. The product owner is responsible for prioritizing and managing the product backlog, including any changes to the sprint backlog. I would go with C, but something is wrong with the whole question.
