Selected Answer: D
Some answers are just off their rockers. "A" has nothing to do with the matter at hand. it comes when scheduled with or without the resignation. Mitigation start. will define how the backlog will look like and handled once the time comes to meet with the owner. This should be D. Contact the functional manager and develop a mitigation strategy. Explanation is Collaborating with the functional manager to develop a mitigation strategy helps address the potential impact on the project and ensures a smooth transition.

Selected Answer: D
The project manager should choose option D to contact the functional manager and develop a mitigation strategy. This ensures timely communication about the team member's resignation and allows for collaborative planning to address potential project impacts, including task redistribution and knowledge transfer.

Selected Answer: B
It's important to communicate such information to the team promptly, and the daily standup is a suitable forum for sharing updates and potential impacts on the project. By informing the team during the standup, the project manager can ensure that everyone is aware of the situation and can collectively discuss how to manage the workload and any potential risks. While options A, C, and D may be relevant, immediate communication with the team is crucial to maintaining transparency and allowing the team to adjust to the changes in personnel. After the team is informed, the project manager can then consider discussing with the functional manager and addressing any potential delivery delays or developing a mitigation strategy.

It's definitely not B nor C. The functional manager does not care about delays, he is not the PM, and informing the Team in the daily standup is not a priority. However, answer D, working with the functional manager to mitigate this issue and get more resources makes sense to me.

A is not answer as print backlog is development team to take care not product owner. as question is talking about functional manager, means organization is functional so this is functional manager responsibility to consider alternative solution

Selected Answer: A
A is the answer. After view of the backlog the PM can provide the project manager with a clearer picture of the immediate tasks, dependencies, and potential risks involved in the departing team member's role. After assessing the situation and identifying specific risks and tasks, the project manager can then communicate effectively with the functional manager (Option D). This communication can be more targeted, providing the functional manager with the necessary details to formulate a mitigation strategy that addresses the identified risks and ensures the smooth continuation of project activities.
