If I have to work overtime and then my manager says "on top of the overtime, lets do some team building that will consume even more of your time" its time to say bye.

While i fully agree with your statement, my answer still has to be C, as that seems to be the most valid for improving team morale. However, will take into consideration of not planning team bonding activities outside of work hours and seek alternatives.

There is no answer worth debating other than C. I don't think C is a clear answer.

In real world, C is the thing you should do. Yes, it will take extra time but after took that time. The team performance will be better and work faster. OT may not require anymore.

Selected Answer: A
Project crashing is when you shorten the duration of a project by reducing the time of one or more tasks. Crashing is done by increasing the resources to the project, which helps make tasks take less time than what they were planned for. Of course, this also adds to the cost of the overall project.

In a situation where the team is concerned about working overtime and motivation is needed, introducing team-building activities can be an effective strategy. Team-building activities can help improve communication, collaboration, and morale within the team. This can create a positive work environment and enhance the team's ability to handle challenges, including the need for accelerated schedules. It's important to address the team's concerns and foster a supportive atmosphere. While negotiating with the client and crashing the schedule are potential actions, they may not directly address the team's motivation and concerns about working overtime.

Selected Answer: C
Introducing team-building activities can help improve team morale, collaboration, and overall performance. When facing a situation where fast-tracking is necessary, and the team is concerned about working overtime, building a positive and cohesive team environment can contribute to increased motivation and productivity. Option B (Crash the project schedule to ensure completion on time) is a technique to accelerate the schedule, but it doesn't directly address the team's concerns about working overtime. Fast-tracking and crashing should be done carefully, taking into consideration the team's well-being.
