Not able to trust the answers given. Because Q#29 & Q#906 are same, but the suggested answers are different in both questions. My answer is D in a practical situation.

Selected Answer: D
D. Received all key information ahead of time Explanation: Ensuring that all key information is received ahead of time would have prevented the delay, as the project manager would have had all necessary data to proceed with the deployment without dependency on the customer's timeline.

Selected Answer: D
To prevent delays in a deployment, it is crucial for the project manager to ensure that all key information is received ahead of time. This includes actively communicating with the customer and establishing clear expectations regarding the necessary information and its timeline. By proactively obtaining all the required information in advance, the project manager can mitigate the risk of delays and ensure a smoother deployment process. While engaging the sponsor (Option C) could be beneficial in some situations, ensuring that key information is received ahead of time is a more direct and proactive measure to prevent delays.

This could involve effective communication with the customer, setting clear expectations, and establishing a timeline for the receipt of critical information.

The questions asks what the PM should have done. Generally speaking, a PM cant do "receive all information upfront". But a PM could have escalated the issue to the sponsor.
