Selected Answer: D
When a risk materializes, it's essential to inform the project sponsor or relevant stakeholders promptly. The project manager should provide all relevant information about the situation, including the impact on the project and potential options for moving forward. Ultimately, the sponsor will need to make a decision on how to address the situation, whether it's finding an alternative solution, allocating additional resources, or adjusting project plans accordingly.

Selected Answer: D
This option involves transparently communicating with the sponsor about the realized risk and the potential impact on the project. The project manager and sponsor can then discuss available options, such as finding an alternative solution, negotiating with the supplier, or reevaluating project requirements. The decision-making process should involve assessing the implications on the project's objectives, timeline, and budget, and determining the most appropriate course of action to ensure project success.

Selected Answer: D
When a risk is realized, it is essential to communicate this to the project sponsor and relevant stakeholders. In this case, the project manager should inform the sponsor that the software support from the supplier has been discontinued, which triggers the identified risk. The project manager and sponsor can then assess the situation, consider available options, and make informed decisions on how to proceed. This may involve using the reserve budget, seeking alternative solutions, or making adjustments to the project plan.

Ans B Question explicitly states that the vendor is discontinuing support. C is just asking vendor to continue support, while B is explicitly assuring vendor to continue support and that will be paid. So B seems to be more appropriate.
