B. Sprint backlog and scrum board. In the Scrum framework, the sprint backlog outlines the tasks to be completed during the sprint, while the Scrum board visually tracks the progress of these tasks, effectively replacing the traditional project schedule with tools that support agile development and continuous delivery. In Scrum, the product roadmap offers a broader vision and strategic planning, whereas the sprint backlog and Scrum board help manage the execution and progress of tasks in each iteration. Both are essential, but the sprint backlog and Scrum board are more aligned with the concept of a traditional project schedule.

Product roadmap and sprint backlog together help in planning and tracking progress in an agile project, similar to how a project schedule would be used in a traditional project management framework.

Selected Answer: A
Product Roadmap: The product roadmap provides a high-level view of the product’s development over time. It outlines major milestones, goals, and the overall vision for the product, which can be seen as a long-term schedule. Sprint Backlog: The sprint backlog contains the specific tasks and user stories that the team commits to completing in a particular sprint. It provides a detailed plan for what the team will achieve in the short term, effectively serving as a schedule for that sprint. Together, these artifacts give both a strategic and tactical view of the project’s progress, analogous to the traditional project schedule but adapted to the iterative and incremental nature of Scrum. Meanwhile, the product backlog is a prioritized list of all desired work on the project but does not directly equate to a schedule. The scrum board is a visual tool to track progress during a sprint but lacks the scheduling element of the roadmap.

A Sprint Backlog is the only backlog that can be compared to a schedule since the sprint backlog defines what can be achieved within a defined period which is a sprint. The product backlog has no timeline defined therefore cannot be said to be a form of schedule. And since they are asking about Artifacts, it only makes sense to select B with Sprint Backlog being the Artifact.

In the Scrum framework, the project schedule is replaced by the Sprint backlog and the Scrum board. The Sprint backlog contains the list of tasks to be completed during the current sprint, while the Scrum board visually represents the progress of these tasks throughout the sprint.

Would go with A because: Product roadmap -> future plans for product, when new features would release Sprint Backlog -> features completed in this iteration. While option D is another close option. Product backlog contains all the story sorted by PO priority which might change over time and not necessary release in the same sequence, or even be release at all No idea what scrum broad refers to, too general.

Replace product schedule (= substitute for timeline with deliverables). Option A is correct: roadmap shows when to do it and the backlog what to do.

D. Product backlog and scrum board In the Scrum framework, the traditional project schedule is replaced by the Product Backlog and the Scrum Board. Product Backlog: This is a prioritized list of all the work items, features, and requirements that need to be completed in the project. It serves as a dynamic schedule that can change as new items are added or priorities shift. Scrum Board: The Scrum Board is used during each sprint to visualize the progress of work. It typically consists of columns like "To Do," "In Progress," and "Done." It helps the team keep track of what work is planned for the current sprint and its status. These two artifacts in Scrum provide a more flexible and iterative approach to scheduling work compared to traditional project schedules.

Product Backlog: This is a dynamic, prioritized list of requirements or features known as user stories. It represents all the work that needs to be done on the project, and it is maintained by the Product Owner. The items at the top of the backlog are considered to be of higher priority. Scrum Board: It's a visual representation of the work being done during a sprint. It typically consists of three columns: "To Do," "In Progress," and "Done." The team moves tasks from one column to another as they progress, providing a clear visual indication of the current state of the work.

there are 3 artifacts in Scrum: product backlog, sprint backlog and Increments. I prefer option A as in the product road map we will have a vision about product increments while the scrum board doesn't represent this

A product backlog is a list of everything that needs to be achieved on a project, broken down into individual items. This is where the baseline requirements of every feature needed for the end product are prioritized by the product owner for the scrum team.
