A software system is being built for a company. Once the system is in production, the team would like to collect usage data to evaluate the delivered value. Which evaluation practice should the project lead use to obtain accurate usage data?
A.
Embed a feedback form into the system for users to respond
B.
Build the functionality in the software to collect the operational usage data
Most Voted
C.
Send out a questionnaire to all users regarding the most useful features
D.
Interview a sampling of users to obtain the usage data
the keyword is "accurate". problem with surveys, forms and interviews is they may not be accurate and users may not respond. automating the collection process will provide the most accurate of all the options
Team cannot unilaterally build out monitoring usage functionality without it being on the product backlog. Therefore D makes more sense and extrapolate out.
Is it correct to collect this user data automatically (B)? What if they were sensitive data protected by privacy laws? Wouldn't it be better to ask their permission in a statistical sampling (D)?
maybe (but doubtful) but that is not what the question mentioned. do not overthink a PMP exam. only make basic assumptions about a project manager unless stated.
