You want to create a new minor version of an application ruleset to add a new feature to your application. The new feature will be made available to users in a phased rollout. How do you update the application to add the new ruleset version?
A.
Lock and roll the existing ruleset, and create a new application version.
B.
Create a new application version and add the new ruleset version as a production ruleset.
C.
Skim the existing ruleset and update the existing application version.
D.
Create a branch ruleset and a new application, and add the branch ruleset to the application.
Easy: it's on the academy . https://academy.pega.com/topic/creating-new-application-version/v1
"You use Create a new version of my application when:
You want to lock and roll the version and create a new application rule. You may enter a new application version, if different than the default one increment higher. You may enter a new application description. The default application description is current. If the current application is locked, enter the application password.
You want to allow people access to more than one version of the application (for example, during a phased roll-out or a test period)."
It's A. The key is that it will be available in an "incremental rollout". Your choice of method depends on the type of application change:
Lock and roll is better for incremental patch versions.
Skimming is better for minor and major versions.
In my calculated opinion, "create a new minor version" diverts you to choose skimming, but knowing this is a phased rollout confirms that it should be lock and roll.
Shouldn't the answer be C? As the application would be undergoing a MINOR VERSION update and not just a patch update. See link: https://academy.pega.com/topic/application-versioning/v4/in/38221/37166/36991
