Antivirus content update frequency should be set to hourly recurrence. This is the best practice to protect the firewall from latest know viruses. The action should be download and install to have the new contenet updates installed on the firewall and not just downloaded. https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/best-practice-assessment-device/dynamic-updates-antivirus/ta-p/338194

This is a tricky question, because is asking about the recommended update interval which following Palo Alto recommendations is 30min to then set the threshold for up to 48h Antivirus updates are released every 24 hours, a lower time recurrence ensures the FW is equipped with the latest updates. according to this link PA recommends update interval of 30min and install threshold of 48h

B recommended by PA so the FW can try again the same day in case of a failed update. Otherwise it would wait until the next day.
