You can group boot volumes with block volumes into the same volume group, making it easy to create a group volume backup or a clone of your entire instance, including both the system disk and storage disks at the same time.

Agree with jsh96, it is possible to group boot and block volumes together in volume group and backup them in one go, but requirements in this task was two different backup timings. That's why I vote A.
