TDE would not protect "GoldenGate data from theft" only trail encryption would. Its a trick question. Quote from documentation "Extract never writes the decrypted data to any file other than a trail file, not even a discard file" Hence the GG data is not encrypted in the trail. So A would be correct imho

However, that method will still leave trail files unencrypted and data can be viewed by anyone with access to the server. Should n't the solution include trail file encryption, especially if they're going to be shipped to a different location?
