ABC is correct.
D is not correct - you just need restore point and no backup is required
E is not correct - DBUA will restart your DB in UPGRADE mode automatically
F is not correct - you need to choose only one database
19c : not use Pre-Upgrade Information Tool script , 19c use AutoUpgrade using the preupgrade parameter
During the prerequisite phase, DBUA runs AutoUpgrade using the preupgrade parameter (autoupgrade.jar -preupgrade -mode), which runs database checks and preupgrade fixups that fix most issues before you start an upgrade.
so, A incorrect
I finally did the test and passed . We have 85 questions and i had around 60 questions very similar with the questions here . the other questions all new, but easy if you study the question topics from exam. good luck
Not F
You can select only one database at a time.

I am not sure about A
ou can run the tool from the operating system command line. The Pre-Upgrade Information Tool creates preupgrade scripts, which fix some issues before you start an upgrade, and postupgrade scripts, which fix some issues after an upgrade is completed.
I think its A,B.C
based on https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/oracle-database/19/upgrd/upgrading-oracle-database-upgrade-assistant-dbua.html#GUID-307DACD9-ECEE-4079-B767-B22620B99900
From https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/oracle-database/12.2/upgrd/upgrading-oracle-database-upgrade-assistant-dbua.html#GUID-BBF591A5-EB02-405A-9F99-572429838C73
A True. "During the prerequisite phase, DBUA runs the Pre-Upgrade Information Tool script"
B True. "You can start DBUA as part of the database software installation, or you can start it manually after installing the software"
C False. "By default, CDB$ROOT, PDB$SEED, and all PDBs that are plugged into the CDB are upgraded. If you do not want some PDBs to be upgraded at this time, then unplug those PDBs"
D. True. "Select Recovery Options... To recover the database if a failure occurs during upgrade, select from one of the following options: Use RMAN Backup..., Use Latest Available RMAN Backup..., Use Flashback and Guaranteed Restore Point..., I have my own backup and restore strategy...
E. False. The database does NOT have to be in read only.
F. False. "You can select only one database at a time."
D is false as it is not MANDATORY ("MUST") that a whole database backup exist. However, the Select Recovery Options window allows you to select a recovery method to recover the database if a failure occurs during upgrade. This includes Flashback and Guaranteed Restore Point, Use RMAN Backup, and I have my own backup and restore strategy.
Sorry, I change my answers. I think BCF. A looks wrong... precheck is provided by a jar file.

I am still not sure but full backup is important but not must be?
B is wrong. If you have earlier release Oracle Database installations, then these installations are listed as available to upgrade. I tested in lab too.
C is incorrect. By default, CDB$ROOT, PDB$SEED, and all PDBs that are plugged into the CDB are upgraded. If you do not want some PDBs to be upgraded now, then unplug those PDBs.
D is incorrect. A backup can be created by DBUA itself before the upgrade.
ABC seems correct answers as DEF are incorrect.
