ABD CDB must be mounted to set the parameter DB_FLASHBACK RETENTION_TARGET and enable flashback database

www.dba-oracle.com/p_db_flashback_recovery_target.htm There is a default values for DB_FLASHBACK RETENTION_TARGET.

I don't know why A is marked true (although C and E are definitely incorrect, so all that's left is A) because if we flahsback CDB, PDB also gets flashed back. What am I missing here?

i think we can flashback pdb leaving cdb. But i think this is possilbe later releases of 12.1

you can do PITR for ndividual PDB, not flashback. Flashback command only works in CDB. So C is incorrect.
