Actual exam question from Oracle's 1z0-1072-22
Question #: 21
Topic #: 1
[All 1z0-1072-22 Questions]

A financial firm is designing an application architecture for its online trading platform that should have high availability and fault tolerance.
Their solutions architect configured the application to use an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Object Storage bucket located in the US West (us-phoenix-1) region to store large amounts of financial data. The stored financial data in the bucket should not be impacted even if there is an outage in one of the Availability Domains or a complete region.
What should the architect do to avoid any costly service disruption and ensure data durability?

  • A. Create a lifecycle policy to regularly send data from the Standard to Archive storage.
  • B. Create a replication policy to send data to a different bucket in another OCI region.
  • C. Create a new Object Storage bucket in another region and configure lifecycle policy to move data every 5 days.
  • D. Copy the Object Storage bucket to a block volume.

Enabling Object Storage replication is as simple as creating a replication policy on the source bucket that identifies the region and the bucket to replicate to. After the replication policy is created, the destination bucket is read-only and updated only by replication from the source bucket. Objects uploaded to a source bucket after policy creation are asynchronously replicated to the destination bucket. Objects deleted from the source bucket after policy creation are automatically deleted from the destination bucket. Objects uploaded to a source bucket before policy creation are not replicated. https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/Object/Tasks/usingreplication.htm
