The answer is definately C because it is at the point of installation that the virtio iso is attached to the vm before the drives can be seen

the answer A is correct! see Nutanix VirtIO is a collection of drivers meant to enhance the stability and performance of VMs. VirtIO bundles several different drivers, including ethernet adapter, RNG device, SCSI pass- through controller, SCSI controller, serial driver, and so on. VirtIO is available in two formats. If you are performing a fresh installation of Windows on an AHV VM, use the VirtIO ISO. If you are updating VirtIO for Windows on an existing VM, use the VirtIO MSI installer file. The latest VirtIO drivers can be downloaded from the Nutanix Support Portal. To download the latest versions: Access the Downloads section on the Support Portal, and select AHV. Select VirtIO in the drop-down menu and download the required VirtIO package. You can download the latest VirtIO drivers from the Nutanix Support Portal.

I think Hotwired may be correct, the drivers does not to be installed in AHV!. this is tricky here. I`ll say C is the better choice considering this.

I could be wrong, but this doesn't sound right. VirtIO drivers aren't installed in AHV, they're loaded in the booted VM during an installation by attaching the ISO and installing the driver. I also believe it's just for the SCSI controllers, so I think the answer should be C.

I've done this multiple time you're correct while installing a fresh windwos server 2019 or later you should mount also the VirtIO driver and chose the iscsi passthrough after that the disk will be visble so you can install the os on it
